A president should not in my opinion pressure Congress to vote a certain way because it is his job to sign the bill or veto it. It is at least unethical for a president to dictate even to his party how to vote and certainly buying votes is criminal. This steamroller session of Congress only showed to the world how bitter they can be. I say there should be charges filed and Lies corrected. It seems it is more an ending than a beginning of health care reform. This is serious business and is not intended to be a sport. I expect health care to collapse under its own weight with 2700 pages as not enforceable. Privatizing health care is a proven failure and an accelerator of cost. People will not be able to use their insurance policies because the deductibles set will be far too expensive. There is some talk of repeal and some that it tampers with social security & could not be passed under the reconciliation simple majority but none seems to work. John McCain offers to try to repeal it if you send him a campaign contribution but that is not honest. When will people realize they need to work as volunteers and not everyone can get paid. State of Texas has joined the revolution against health care saying it will negate people's individual sovereignty and they are right because it does take away freedom/sovereignty. Had they left in the public option the bill may have been worth signing but it is gutted of all good stuff in favor of the insurance monopoly because Congress is owned by them. The bankrupt hospitals are saying no to treating the poor for free anymore, therefore the government must pay their exorbitant insurance premiums so the poor will have access to hospital care even though the overall cash cost may be a hundred times more than the old. This is a false victory and it will never work because health care cost is a major problem. Let him celebrate his shining victory & temporary glory before facing health care reality. There is wind of much bigger problems for the United States economically from the last meltdown and the people that were defrauded by Wall Street are coming home to roost.
